I have lived in DC, NJ, NY, PA, and now AZ 🌆🗽🌄🏜️. What I am often asked is which one do I like the best… which one do I miss… 🤔❓
And my answer remains the same, I am happy wherever I am because when I look around, I can only be where I am… all around me … there I am… and that feeling is home for me 🏠✨. A deep inner comfort that I am okay no matter what… 😊❤️
But I do want to describe when I first visited Arizona… 🌵 As we drove across the country 🚗🛣️, I had this sense of longing… I had NEVER been to Arizona, but for some reason, I was coming to check it out so that I could move here… and what I always describe is this AMAZING overwhelming energy shift I felt as I crossed into New Mexico 🌟🌠. I knew at that moment that I would come to live in the Southwest because it called to me and cradled me like its own baby… 🍼💞
There is a deep sense of knowing and wonder 🌌, and this is the way I feel about India too… 🇮🇳 Like I left something there in a prior lifetime and going there will bring an extreme remembrance, an accelerated remembrance… 🔮 At the same time, I’m doing so much to incorporate my ethereal home space over akashic lifetimes with my current home… bringing in art and literature that invoke passion and warmth within me… 🎨📚🔥
I also want to describe home as warmth but as I write it I know it’s not completely correct because Yin Yoga is cool and it’s that cooling feeling in a hot summer that you can go in your home and it will regulate to your body… 🧘♀️❄️☀️
So, to rewind… ⏪
Home is the place that you go to calm all the senses and access your yin or your yang… ☯️🏡
I think it's sad that so many grow up with a home space where they didn’t feel held and safe 😔, and many of us search and search for that feeling… funny enough it is no place that can fill that… Home has to be an inner job ❤️🧘♂️💭
